Before law school, I was a Legal Administrative Specialist for the Department of Veterans Affairs for 3 years. Even though I worked for the Federal Government, I knew I loved problem-solving and had a passion for helping people understand their rights. I jumped out of the security of my Federal Government job into the uncertainty of law school, and then transitioned into operating my own private practice. I am so grateful that I made that jump.
I began my legal career as a General Practitioner but I have always been lead to family law. I began litigating family law cases in 2013. I found my passion in the process of creating common sense solutions for families who have been struggling get it right for years. As a family law mediator and Best Interest Attorney (attorney who represents children in court cases) I litigated child abuse cases and honed the skills needed to make families whole, even after divorce.
Our process is straight forward. We collect information, address issues and surmount obstacles to focus on the goal of ensuring that children thrive in the midst of the breakdown of a relationship. My team and I work hard at researching issues and solutions for families. We thoroughly explain the financial obligations of litigation and settlements. Our continual goal is to find common-sense approaches to obstacles that block the way to successful agreements. If you decide to trust my team and I with the future of your family, you can expect expertly crafted strategies and a laser focused work ethic to get you to your ultimate goal- a fair and comprehensive agreement (or court order) that helps to prepare your child(ren) for their future.
